Zandra called me wanting to get her sweet baby girl in, but she was already almost 4 weeks old. Typically, newborn sessions are best done when the baby is between 5 and 15 days old since they are more agreeable to sleeping through posing. Plus, they just sleep more in general during that time! I certainly didn’t want her to miss out on getting newborn photos for her baby girl though, especially since she wasn’t able to get any with her son a few years ago.

I was able to work her in and I’m so glad I could. Zandra and Bella drove in from Maumelle and then we got right to it! Bella was an angel during her whole session. She gave me some great “awake” photos, and then went right to sleep!

I always like to hear how people decided on names for their babies. I feel like it tells a part of their story. When I asked Zandra how she decided on Bella, she said when she was pregnant, before she even knew she was having a girl, her sisters called the baby “Bella.” They just knew it was going to be a girl! So they would call and ask her “How’s ‘Bella’ doing today?” When she found out her baby was a girl, how could she name her anything different, since that’s already who she was? Sweet Bella! How perfect and sweet is that!
