Luther James made his big debut on August 29th. What’s funny is his session date was his original due date. Babies come when they want though so I always leave wiggle room when booking my newborn sessions.

This family was so fun, especially miss Karsyn. This sweet girl is 6 and was excited to have her baby brother here. Some of my favorite photos are “sibling” photos. This is probably because some of my favorite photos of my own family are of my kids together, so I love capturing that for these families.

Mandy and Maverick are both huge Harry Potter fans. They even went to Universal Studios for their Honeymoon to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! They brought a lot of fun things to use during their session, including their wands. Mandy’s is the Elder Wand, Maverick’s is Sirius Black’s, and Karsyn’s is Luna Lovegood’s. I also love asking my Potterhead clients which house they belong to. That’s when you know you’re dealing with a real fan is if they know what I’m talking about when I even ask that! Mandy is a Slytherin and Maverick is a Ravenclaw. I’m sure many of you can identify with those! When I asked Karsyn what she was, she said “I’m too young to be sorted!” Ha, how true!

I loved creating a magical Harry Potter setup for them. It’s so fun when I can get creative.

Both Mandy and Maverick are big baseball fans as well, though they are a house divided. She is a Cardinals fan and he is a Chicago Cubs fan. She decided to let him “win” this one though and I got a special Cubs outfit for Luther to wear. I certainly loved making the baseball sets too!
