I first met Rachel and Derek when they contacted me about doing a maternity session and I’m so glad they did! When I begin a relationship with a client so early on, I really get to know them and their family. So when it was time for the birth of sweet Sheppard, it’s like I was attending a friends birth we had grown so close!

Things went pretty fast for them, I told them to give me a call when Rachel was a 6 and then I would head up there. Well as soon as I got the call, I left and I was only pulling out of my driveway when they said, “Ok, she’s now an 8/9!” Wow! Luckily, I only live about 5 minutes from the hospital! I walked in and they were so calm and excited. Rachel was able to relax and was just waiting for the time to meet her baby boy.

I was there for about 45 minutes before it was time to push. Then he was here! Sheppard Lee made his arrival, weighing in at 7 lb 14 oz and 20 inches long. Rachel did amazing! And Derek was the perfect support for her.
